มหาวิทยาลัย Southampton ตั้งอยู่ที่เมือง Southampton หรือบริเวณ South Coast ของประเทศอังกฤษซึ่งห่างจากลอนดอนไปทางตอนใต้ เพียง 1 ชั่วโมงโดยรถไฟความเร็วสูงจาดสถานีวอเตอร์ลู Waterloo เมือง Southampton เป็นเมืองขนาดกลาง มีประชากร 234,600 คน โดยเป็นนักศึกษากว่า 50,000 คน เป็นเมืองท่าระดับโลกและยังได้รับการขนานนามให้เป็นเมืองหลวงแห่งการล่องเรือสำราญในยุโรป (Cruise Capital of Europe)
